A former North Carolina State football player was arrested earlier this week in Raleigh after he allegedly sent a threatening tweet to head coach Dave Dorn.
In 2018 and 2019, Wolfpack defensive lineman Joseph Bolletpeli was charged with verbal abuse and threats against the head coach.
He was also charged with resisting arrest after he allegedly got away from officers who were trying to handcuff him.

The tweet reportedly said, “Imma bring it on I promise. Dave Doeren and the rest.”
According to WRAL, investigators said Bolletpelli visited Dorn’s workplace several times and had previously sent threats to the head coach via text message. social media.
The tweet was sent just one day after three University of Virginia players were killed by a former teammate. The shooting, along with the tweet, was enough to get the police involved.

He was released on $25,000 bond and ordered to stay off the head coach and school campus.
“The defendant knew or should have known that the harassment … was sufficiently emotional to put a reasonable person in fear of death, bodily injury, continued harassment, the safety of that person, or the safety of that person.” will cause distress. immediate family (and) close personal associates,” Boletpeli’s arrest warrant said.

Bolletpeli played six games in his two seasons with the Wolfpack.
