This pollution is the result of our moral decay. (image: file)
Nowadays there is a lot of noise about environmental pollution and its effects like air pollution, water pollution, land pollution, noise pollution and how it can be controlled etc. But there is one type of pollution that is perhaps the loudest but of which we are completely unaware, even though we are entirely responsible for it, and that is emotional pollution.
This pollution is discussed every day in print, electronic and social media, but we are too busy filling up our bank balances to give enough importance to the things that make up our organization.
In this era of materialism, we measure everything with money. Of course, money is a lot, but not everything. In the rush to achieve this much, we forgot everything. What are all these, they are our relations, some of the blood, some of the community, some of the neighborhood, some of the kinship, some of the Islam, but we are not capable of everything.
The son raises his hand against the mother, sometimes because of his wife, sometimes because of the late food. Brother thirsty for brother’s blood, someone presses his sister’s share of the property. What is this? How do we get out of all this? How long will all this continue like this?
It is a very simple question and the answer is also very simple, but we are not in favor of finding the answer. We say, let it be, let it not go as it is, but let it go according to our will. We believe in a religion in which showing someone the right path is charity, and removing what hurts from the path is charity as well. How much importance is given to the sanctity of relationships there, we have no idea.
The Qur’an says: “Do not tell your parents to say if.” But we take to the streets to fight for the rights to our egos, who should talk about duties. The meaning of the hadith of the Holy Prophet is that what you love for yourself is like your brother. But whoever does, everyone loves their locker.
In honor of the husband, it was discussed that if someone was commanded to prostrate after God, he would order the wife to prostrate to her husband. The husband was told that the money he spent on his wife would also count as alms. Nowadays hardly anyone thinks that way. Speaking of neighbours, Islam emphasized (in light of the meaning of the hadith) if you cook curry, make more gravy and send the curry to the neighbour’s house as well. Who does that today? no one.
So it wouldn’t be out of place to say that we live in a society polluted by emotional pollution. This pollution is the result of our very outdated thinking, our greedy nature. If we follow the advice of the Islamic religion in which our duties are discussed, believe me, all our rights will be fully amended. May Allah give us all the courage and success to adhere to Islam, Ameen.
