A Kentucky woman was arrested on suspicion of stealing from her employer under a stolen identity, police say.
Antoinette Weston, 35, of Paducah, was arrested Wednesday afternoon. He was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, identity theft of another without consent.
Weston was also charged with theft by unlawful taking over $1,000.
“A Paducah woman was arrested at her home Wednesday after she used another woman’s identity to get a job at a local firm, then cashed fake checks from that firm,” The Paducah Police Department announced. In a Facebook post

Police say Weston used a fake Kentucky operator’s license when he applied for a job at a law firm on June 14.
The employer became suspicious when they learned that two of their checks had been fraudulently cashed at a local bank.
“Investigation revealed that Weston and an individual cashed two checks,” police said in their press release.

“The woman whose identity was used to obtain the job does not know Weston and has no connection to the Paducah area,” the statement added.
