A suspect was taken into custody Wednesday after a strange sighting near the Las Vegas Strip, authorities said.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop just after 3:30 a.m. and stop a “suspicious” vehicle on Wink Avenue.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department warned the public of a barricade situation Wednesday evening after an erratic driver. The accused was taken into police custody after a while.

Instead of pulling over, the driver began driving recklessly, sometimes “on the sidewalk,” police said.
Eventually, the vehicle stopped a short distance away at East Flamingo Road and South Cowell Lane. Authorities have since described the incident as “an obstruction situation”.
Several minutes later, the department tweeted that the suspect had been taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
