A wild animal – believed to be a lioness – is on the loose in the suburbs of the German capital Berlin.
Police tweeted early in the morning asking people to stay inside and bring their pets.
The search involved a helicopter and officers reportedly used loudspeakers to warn people in the areas of Kleinmachno, Telto and Stahnsdorf.
German media say members of the public raised the alarm after seeing the animal chasing the wild boar.
No zoo or circus has reported the animal missing, so it’s unclear where it came from.
About an hour earlier, police were still searching the southwestern edge of the city.
“The escaped wild animal is still not found! We still ask you not to leave the house. If you see the animal, please call the emergency number 110!” Brandenburg Police tweeted.
