Coming soon to Sea World, San Diego is California’s longest, fastest, and longest dive coaster.
Named the Emperor Coaster, the ride “will mimic the underwater diving ability of the world’s largest penguin, the famous Emperor Penguin, and give thrill seekers an exciting journey through heights, ups and downs, turns and turns. The theme park said in a media release.

The attraction opens on March 12 and will be the first and only floorless dive coaster in the state. SeaWorld said riders would climb 153 feet and “jump through a vertical drop under the face of 143 feet, at speeds in excess of 60 miles per hour,” SeaWorld said. The Emperor Coaster has an inverted, barrel roll, an acid main loop, and more.
